子供たちは最近チェスに凝っています。 聖 (12 歳) は Maryland Elementary School Championship の大会の Unrated の部門で優勝しました。 想 (9 歳) は、今回初めて入った 現地校のチェスクラブで、4, 5 年生に 混じって、堂々の 4 位 (3 年生では 1 位) になりました。 聖は 現地校でトランペットをやっており、ようやくなんとか 音楽らしく聞こえるようになってきました。 想は日本語補習校でリコーダをやっています。 兄弟で (もう日本ではすたれてしまったらしい) 遊戯王カードで よく遊んでおります。
Our kids are into chess right now. Sei (12 years old) has won the first place for the unrated group at Maryland Elementary School Championship. So (9 years old) has won the fourth place among the 4th and 5th graders (first in the 3rd graders) in the chess club he joined for the first time at Beverly Farms Elementary School. Sei is learning trumpet at Herbert Hoover Middle School and the instrument started to make some music finally. So is learning recorder at Washington Japanese Language School. They often play Yu-gi-oh cards together.
